According to the company, a flight from Kazan was delayed due to the airline's fault, and there were also delays for flights from Sharm El Sheikh and Chengdu.
Currently, the airport is operating normally.
Representatives of the Open Joint Stock Company noted that many passengers are wondering why, despite the presence of modern equipment, problems with flights continue. They explained that many international airlines operate according to their own internal rules. Even with good visibility, the decision to land or delay is made by the aircraft's captain. At the moment, visibility is over 1000 meters.
It is worth reminding that a modern Category III (CAT III) light signaling system was installed at the airport in the past. As previously noted, the implementation of this system will allow for the arrival and departure of aircraft in conditions of heavy fog and poor visibility, which will significantly reduce the number of delays and cancellations of flights, as well as improve the reliability of air traffic.
