Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Adylbek Kasymaliev handed over 81 vehicles to the Ministry of Defense, the funding for which was provided from the state budget.
Among the received vehicles are 36 Chevrolet Cobalt cars, 19 JAC T-6, 18 Gazelle vans, 5 passenger buses, and 3 JAC Sunray minibuses. Some of the vehicles were manufactured at the Tulpar Motors plant in Kyrgyzstan.
Kasymaliev emphasized the importance of updating the vehicle fleet to enhance the mobility of the military and the operational transportation of personnel. He also noted that over the past few years, funding for the Armed Forces has significantly increased: the budget of the Ministry of Defense has grown by more than 300% compared to 2018-2019. These funds are directed towards the modernization of equipment and armaments, the development of infrastructure, and the logistical base.
In addition, the minister reported on the process of digitalization in the Ministry of Defense. Electronic systems for document management and accounting of military personnel are being implemented, with a pilot project already launched in five military enlistment offices and plans to expand it to another 25. Work has also begun on the digitalization of military IDs.
It is worth noting that social support for military personnel is also a focus. Housing rental payments have been increased, mortgage compensations are provided, and soon more than 900 apartments will be offered to military personnel through the State Mortgage Company.
