Recently, the Ministry of Defense of Kyrgyzstan has replenished its vehicle fleet with 81 new cars purchased with state budget funds. The solemn ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliev.

In his speech, he emphasized that the renewal of the vehicle fleet will help increase the mobility and combat readiness of the Armed Forces. Kasymaliev noted that a modern army must harmoniously combine traditions and innovations, and the new vehicles will ensure safe and operational movement of personnel.

According to him, the country's defense capability has significantly strengthened in recent years: the budget for the Armed Forces has increased by more than 300% compared to 2018-2019. These funds are directed towards modernizing existing armaments, improving the infrastructure of military units, as well as purchasing modern air defense and electronic warfare systems.

Additionally, Adylbek Kasymaliev reported on the completion of the first stage of implementing electronic document management in the Ministry of Defense. Currently, the electronic accounting system for military personnel is operating in pilot mode in five military enlistment offices, and by March, it is planned to launch it in another 25 such institutions. The digitization of military IDs has also begun.

An important part of the reform is the social protection of military personnel. In Bishkek, daily allowances for housing rent have been increased to 500 soms, and in the regions — to 420 soms. Monthly mortgage payments and the possibility of purchasing housing, regardless of the place of service, have also been provided, along with more than 900 apartments offered through the State Mortgage Company.

In total, the Ministry of Defense received 81 vehicles, including 36 Chevrolet Cobalt cars, 19 JAC T-6 pickups, 18 Gazelle vans, 5 passenger buses, and 3 JAC Sunray minibuses. A significant portion of this equipment was produced at the Tulpar Motors plant in the Kyrgyz Republic.
