The ceremony of handing over the keys to 81 units of vehicles took place under the leadership of Adylbek Kasymaliev, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, who congratulated the Ministry of Defense on this significant event.

Speaking on behalf of the president and the government, Kasymaliev noted that the 81 units of equipment were purchased with budget funds. Among the new vehicles are 19 JAC T-6 cars and 36 Chevrolet cars assembled at the "Tulpar Motors" plant in Kyrgyzstan. He emphasized that the defense of the country is a sacred duty, and a modern army must combine traditions with the latest technologies. "Today's warriors, like their predecessors, possess courage, but instead of a sword, they have modern equipment. Instead of a shield, there is law and order, and instead of a bow, there is knowledge and precise calculation. We are confident that our soldiers understand their responsibility to the Motherland," he added. Kasymaliev also noted that the new vehicles will significantly improve the mobility and safety of military personnel.

Speaking about the development of the country's defense capabilities, he reported that since 2018-2019, the budget of the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic has increased more than threefold. These funds are directed towards improving the material and technical base, updating armaments, and developing the infrastructure of military units and garrisons. Modern samples of equipment have been purchased, including air defense systems and electronic warfare systems.

Kasymaliev also noted that the Ministry of Defense has successfully completed the first stage of digitalization, which has allowed for the optimization of document flow and the accounting of military personnel. Currently, the electronic military accounting system operates in five military enlistment offices, and its implementation is planned in another 25 such institutions by March. The process of digitalizing military IDs has begun.

In addition, the head of government mentioned social support measures for military personnel. In Bishkek, the daily compensation for housing rent has been increased to 500 soms, and in the regions, to 420 soms. A monthly compensation for mortgage loans is also provided — 18,000 soms for military personnel in the capital and 15,000 soms in other regions. For military personnel with more than 20 years of service, compensation for mortgage repayment is provided, as well as the opportunity to purchase housing in any chosen location. In the near future, more than 900 apartments for military personnel, currently in the final stages of construction, will be provided through the State Mortgage Company.
