According to the information from the medical institution, two complex surgeries were performed in the trauma and orthopedic department in one day with the participation of Academician Sabyrbek Jumabekov, who is the director of the National Center for Traumatology and Orthopedics in Bishkek.
The first patient was a 69-year-old man, who successfully received an artificial hip joint. Then, a knee joint replacement surgery was performed on a 66-year-old resident of the Bazar-Korgon district.
Although both surgeries were planned in advance, specific dates for their execution were not determined until the last moment. After consulting with Academician Jumabekov, the doctors were able to successfully complete both procedures.
At present, the condition of the patients who underwent surgery is assessed as stable.
