Ministry of Energy: Construction of the Orto-Tokoy Hydroelectric Power Station is nearing completion
The construction is proceeding in full accordance with the approved schedule, which is confirmed by a number of completed stages.
In particular, among the significant achievements:
- the 950-meter diversion tunnel has been fully completed;
- currently, the concreting of the reinforced concrete lining of the water conduit tunnel is underway;
- preparatory work and soil reinforcement have been completed, as well as the construction of walls at the branching node;
- preparations are underway for the installation of a tunnel interchange with three exits, where metal structures measuring 93.6 m and 74.4 m have already been installed and welded in two of the exits.

Key stages of work in the building of the hydroelectric power station have also been completed:
- construction of the HPP building is 90% complete;
- reinforcement and concreting of columns for the lifting mechanisms of the spillway gates in the lower pool have been fully completed;
- the roof frame installation has been completed, and work on laying the roofing material is currently underway;
- hydroturbines No. 1, 2, and 3, as well as the disc gates, have been successfully installed.

The Ministry of Energy also reminded that the design capacity of the Orto-Tokoy HPP is 21 MW, and it is expected that all construction work will be completed in the first half of 2026.
