The Water Resources Service under the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry has announced the completion of the development of the automated information system "Unified Information System for Water" (AIS UISW). This project has become part of the digital transformation of the government agency.

The new system is designed for effective management of irrigation water. It integrates information about water users, irrigation networks, and hydraulic structures into a single digital platform. As a result, the system will ensure automation of water supply planning, accurate monitoring of water consumption, and analysis of resource quality.

The foundation of the AIS UISW is based on geoinformation technologies, which allows for spatial data on surface waters and irrigated areas with details on specific agricultural crops, as clarified by the agency.

The system is expected to be put into industrial operation throughout Kyrgyzstan in early 2026. In the future, there are plans to expand the platform's functionality by adding automated government services and special digital services for farmers and water users, as noted by ministry representatives.
