Expected Shortage: Ministry Urges Farmers to Conserve Irrigation Water

In 2026, a shortage of irrigation water is expected, as reported by the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry.

According to the agency, climate change and reduced precipitation may create a shortage of water resources in various regions of the country. In this regard, the ministry strongly recommends that farmers take measures in advance for the efficient use of water resources.

In particular, the implementation of water-saving technologies, such as drip and sprinkler irrigation, is recommended, as well as the selection of crops with minimal water requirements and the use of drought-resistant seeds.

The Ministry of Water Resources and Agriculture also noted that the distribution of irrigation water during the watering period will be fair and balanced. Farmers are encouraged to contact local agricultural offices for additional information.
