Last weekend, Bishkek experienced a sharp drop in temperature and snowfall. This caused dissatisfaction among residents, who criticized the road clearing efforts on social media. In response, the mayor of the capital, Aibek Junushaliev, informed the Kabar agency that the municipal enterprise "Tazalyk" was fulfilling its snow removal duties.
“This time, all the equipment of our enterprise was involved in clearing the roads. We managed to carry out the cleaning, but on Saturday there was a lot of criticism on social media about the equipment not being deployed on the streets. There is a specific order for snow removal: first, after the snowfall, the roads are sprinkled with salt, and it is necessary to wait a bit for the snow to start melting. Only then does the equipment begin to work. If we try to clear the roads immediately without allowing the snow to melt, it will only compact. It is also worth noting that the enterprise lacks specialized equipment, and new machinery needs to be acquired,” he concluded.
