KFS held an online course on the VAR system for young referees

On January 15 and 16, an online course aimed at training young referees on the principles of the VAR system was held under the auspices of the Kyrgyz Football Union. Experienced KFU specialists Artem Skopintsev and Sergey Grishchenko served as instructors.

The course included a theoretical part, which thoroughly examined the protocols for the operation of the VAR system, the algorithms for the interaction of the main referee with the video assistants, as well as the analysis of game moments with an emphasis on making correct decisions based on video replays.

Sixteen young referees from various regions of Kyrgyzstan participated in the seminar, preparing for the implementation of the VAR system at the national level.

The main objective of the course was to deepen the theoretical knowledge of the referees, prepare them for working with VAR, and form a unified understanding of the refereeing standards that meet international requirements. Conducting such training courses is an important step towards modernizing and developing football refereeing in Kyrgyzstan.
