Kyrgyzstan Updated the Procedure for Competitive Selection of Personnel for the EEC

The Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic has updated the rules for the internal qualification selection of candidates for participation in competitions for vacant positions in the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC). These changes are aimed at improving the recruitment process for the EAEU bodies.

According to the new rules, meetings of the competition commission will be held as needed, unlike the previous practice where they occurred at least once every six months. Additionally, the minimum number of candidates required to initiate the selection has been reduced from 30 to 20.

The composition of the competition commission has also been clarified. It now includes representatives from the president's administration, as well as authorized persons from agencies dealing with issues of state and municipal service, justice, foreign policy, finance, and national security.

The new document introduces a limitation on the participation of the same candidate in the qualification selection for the positions of director or deputy director in the EEC — no more than two consecutive times. The reasons for the absence of commission members at meetings have also been detailed, and the possibility of conducting meetings and interviews via videoconferencing has been established.

The procedures for decision-making by the competition commission, conducting computer testing, and actions in the event that none of the candidates scores the required number of points in the selection have been clarified.

The resolution comes into effect ten days after its adoption.
