In Bishkek, the 83rd anniversary of the breakthrough of the Leningrad blockade will be celebrated

Various events are planned in Bishkek to commemorate the 83rd anniversary of the breakthrough of the Leningrad blockade, as reported by the Russian House.

According to the provided information, today there will be a rally and a solemn laying of flowers at the monument "To the Courage of Leningraders — the Nobility of Kyrgyzstani People" in Victory Park. As part of this event, documents containing information about the fate of their relatives will be handed over to the families of 12 Kyrgyz warriors who were previously considered missing in action.

Tomorrow, January 17, a memorial service will be held at the Holy Resurrection Cathedral in memory of the fallen defenders and residents of besieged Leningrad, as well as members of the Kyrgyz Society of Blockade Survivors who passed away during peacetime.

On January 18, a laying of flowers is planned at the Northern Cemetery at the monument to Anna Kutanova, the long-time leader of the Kyrgyz Society of Blockade Survivors of Leningrad.
