In Bishkek, the 83rd anniversary of the lifting of the Leningrad blockade will be celebrated (program)
On January 16 at 11:00, a rally will take place in Victory Park named after Dair Asanov, where flowers will be laid at the monument "Courage of Leningraders - Nobility of Kyrgyzstani."
"During the event, documents containing information about the fate of their loved ones will be handed over to the families of 12 warriors from Kyrgyzstan, who were previously considered missing in action," the message notes. "This handover will be carried out as part of the project 'Return of the Name in Kyrgyzstan.'"
On January 17 at 11:00, a memorial service will be held at the Holy Resurrection Cathedral (Jibek Jolu Ave, 497) in memory of the defenders and residents of besieged Leningrad, as well as members of the Kyrgyz Society of Blockade Survivors who passed away in peacetime.
On January 18 at 12:00, a flower-laying ceremony is scheduled at the monument to Anna Kutanova at the Northern Cemetery, where she served for a long time as the head of the Kyrgyz Society of Blockade Survivors of Leningrad.
