The parties met with their lawyers
The trading house "Kulikovsky" and blogger Aitilek Orozbekov have agreed on a peaceful resolution to their conflict, as reported by their lawyers.
A video of the meeting, where the parties reached an agreement, was posted on social media. In this regard, the statement filed on behalf of the trading house "Kulikovsky" was withdrawn.
It is worth noting that last year a complaint was filed against the blogger. Orozbekov, in turn, stated that he received a recording showing that he was refused service in the state language. In connection with this, he visited one of the stores for clarification, but the video itself was not presented.
After that, the blogger was placed under house arrest.
Aitilek Orozbekov became known for his "language patrols," during which he demands that establishments serve him in the Kyrgyz language, publishing video materials on his YouTube channel.
In November 2024, he was detained on suspicion of publicly calling for the violent seizure of power. In January 2025, the Pervomaisky District Court of Bishkek found him guilty under part 2 of Article 327 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic and imposed a fine of 70,000 soms. The blogger did not admit his guilt.
