Scandal over language: "Kulikov" has filed a lawsuit
According to him, the conflict arose nearly nine months ago in one of the establishments of the "Kulikov" chain when he stated the need for service in the Kyrgyz language. After that, company representatives contacted law enforcement, which led to his detention. Later, the court replaced the arrest with house arrest, and since then Orozbekov has been under this regime.
According to the activist's claims, the court process has been ongoing for nine months. Currently, as Aktilek Orozbekov reports, representatives of the confectionery firm are demanding a tightening of the measure of restraint and his transfer to a detention center. He suggests that one of the reasons for such actions may be the desire to limit his access to the internet and his ability to publicly comment on the process.
Orozbekov noted in his post that he will continue to openly discuss his case, considering it important for the protection of the status of the state language.
On social media, Aktilek Orozbekov is sometimes referred to as the "language patrol."
After the news of the new motion appeared, an active discussion erupted on social media. Some users expressed dissatisfaction with the company's actions and called for a boycott of its products, while others supported the local producer and urged not to give in to the blogger's provocations.
