Kyrgyzstan has increased the number of countries with which it is establishing diplomatic relations

In 2025, Kyrgyzstan significantly increased the number of countries with which it maintains diplomatic relations. This information was announced by Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubaev during a summary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' work.

The minister noted that the country has managed not only to strengthen its positions in traditional regions but also to open new avenues for cooperation.

“Last year, the first embassy of Kyrgyzstan was opened in Ethiopia, and a decision was also made to establish a diplomatic representation in Egypt. As a result, diplomatic relations were established with another 13 states, bringing the total number to 185,” Kulubaev reported.

In addition, he noted that economic diplomacy has yielded tangible results, and the tourism sector has been actively developing.
