The State Department will suspend processing of immigration visas for 75 countries

The U.S. State Department plans to temporarily halt the processing of immigration visas for citizens of 75 countries. This decision is due to the need to strengthen control over potential applicants who may pose risks to society, as reported by Fox News.

Among the countries affected by this restriction are Somalia, Afghanistan, Brazil, Iran, Iraq, Egypt, Nigeria, Thailand, Yemen, and several others. The new rules will come into effect on January 21, during which time the U.S. State Department will review its procedures for screening and selecting immigrants.
