The Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision of Kyrgyzstan reported that they successfully released a snow leopard that was caught in the village of Boroldoy. This occurred after the animal underwent all necessary veterinary examinations and rehabilitation.

According to the provided data, the predator is approximately 3-4 years old. It is a male, weighing 42.7 kg, and its length reaches about two meters.

After being captured, the leopard was temporarily placed in a wildlife rehabilitation center located in the branch of the German Nature Conservation Union (NABU) in the Saylyu-Terek pasture area of Chui region. Today, after a complete medical examination, it was returned to its natural habitat.

It was previously reported that the snow leopard entered the territory of the village of Boroldoy and climbed a tree. Ranger J. Chokoev from the Chui regional department of the Ministry of Natural Resources and hunter U. Abikanov quickly arrived at the scene to safely bring the animal down from the tree.

The Ministry noted that the snow leopard holds symbolic significance for Kyrgyzstan, and every case related to this species is an important event for biodiversity conservation in the country.
