The snow leopard, which was captured in the village of Boroldoy, has been released back into the wild in the Chon-Kemin State Natural Park. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Natural Resources.

As previously reported in sources, on the night of December 30, the snow leopard entered the property of one of the residents of Boroldoy in the Kemin district. After its capture, the animal was temporarily placed in a wildlife rehabilitation center operated by the German Nature Conservation Union (NABU) at the Saylyu-Terek pasture located in the Chui region.

“The animal underwent all necessary veterinary and biological examinations with the participation of specialists. It is aged between 3 and 4 years, weighs 42.7 kg, and reaches a length of about 2 meters,” the official statement noted.
