At the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh held on January 14, Mamataliyev noted that the capital does not look like a real capital. He pointed out that new settlements have been added to Bishkek, but according to him, the changes in their lives have been limited to renaming.

The deputy also drew attention to the statement by the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Adylbek Kasymaliev, about allocating 6 billion soms in 2026 for the development of these territories. "I hope that these funds will be used wisely. The outskirts of the capital must match the level of its center. If you look at the Pervomaisky District, it is obvious that there are significant differences between the center and the outskirts. Settlements such as 'Kalyis-Ordo,' 'Muras-Ordo,' 'Umut,' 'Dostuk,' and 'Ak-Bosogo' continue to remain residential areas when they should have become full-fledged micro-districts. However, this is not just a matter of renaming — it is also necessary to address issues with sewage, roads, sidewalks, and water supply. These issues remain unresolved. You cannot claim that you live in a city," the deputy emphasized.

He also added that this year, 20 schools and 10 kindergartens are to be built in Bishkek.

"I urge to start construction in remote residential areas. Even Kyzyl-Asker, which has long been part of the city, continues to face unresolved problems," Mamataliyev concluded.
