At Manas Airport, there is heavy fog. Flights are delayed.

Today, January 14, there is heavy fog at Manas International Airport, causing flight delays. This was reported by the OJSC "Airports of Kyrgyzstan".

According to meteorological service data, visibility at the airport is only 175 meters, while a minimum of 800 meters is required.

The flight from Istanbul has been delayed, as well as flight U62803 from Moscow. The aircraft arriving from Sharm El Sheikh continued its journey to Tashkent.

It is worth noting that a modern Category III (CAT III) lighting system has recently been installed at the airport. It is reported that this system is expected to significantly improve conditions for the arrival and departure of aircraft in foggy conditions, reducing the risks of delays and cancellations, as well as enhancing the stability of air traffic.

OJSC noted that the final decision on landing is made by the aircraft's pilot.
