In 2025, more than 300 million soms were received at the "Sosnovka" and "Kara-Kol" checkpoints, or more precisely, 300 million 266 thousand 484 soms, thanks to a cashless payment system using QR codes. This figure turned out to be 35.48% higher than for the same period of the previous year, as reported by the Ministry of Transport of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The Minister of Transport and Communications, Abasattar Syrgabaev, previously noted the need to improve the quality of service for the population, eliminate the human factor, and prevent corruption. In this regard, it was instructed to transition the specified checkpoints to cashless payments, which provided convenience for citizens and eliminated the possibility of cash transactions.

Today, citizens can make payments using modern methods, including the use of QR codes, on-site terminals, and electronic wallets through mobile applications.

As a result of the implementation of the new system developed by the employees of the state institution "Production and Innovation Center," there has been a phased reduction in staff at the checkpoints.

Additionally, to avoid traffic congestion at "Sosnovka" and "Kara-Kol," the road lanes have been expanded and two new lanes of traffic have been added, which are already in operation," the agency added.
