Cashless payments: 300 million soms received through the checkpoints "Sosnovka" and "Kara-Kol"

In 2025, through the checkpoints "Sosnovka" and "Kara-Kol," 300 million 266 thousand 484 soms were collected thanks to a cashless system using QR codes. This is 35.48% more compared to the same period in 2024, as reported by the press service of the Ministry of Transport and Communications.

To improve service quality and minimize the impact of the human factor, as well as to prevent corruption risks, the minister instructed the management of the state institution "Production and Innovation Center" to promptly implement cashless payments at these checkpoints.

Currently, citizens can pay for services using convenient methods: through terminals with QR codes or via electronic wallets and mobile applications.

In connection with the implementation of this system, the number of employees at the checkpoints has been gradually optimized.

Additionally, to reduce traffic congestion at the "Sosnovka" and "Kara-Kol" checkpoints, the road lanes have been expanded, and two new traffic lanes have been added, which are already in operation.
