Moldazhiyev visited the Republican Sports College named after Sh. Sydykov
Kazybek Moldazhiyev, head of the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports, recently visited the Republican Sports College named after Sheraly Sydykov, located in Bishkek. During his visit, he participated in a festive assembly held at the college.
During his stay, Moldazhiyev familiarized himself with the progress of the major renovations and modern improvements to the institution's infrastructure. He toured various facilities, including training rooms, a gymnasium, an assembly hall, and medical offices. The agency director expressed confidence that the college students would achieve high results in sports due to their diligence and wished them success in their endeavors.
The sports college is situated on a 7.6-hectare area and includes an educational building, a cafeteria, two sports complexes, an indoor swimming pool, a gymnastics hall, as well as wrestling rooms, two football fields, and two dormitories. The college trains athletes in various disciplines, including Greco-Roman and freestyle wrestling, women's wrestling, boxing, heavy and light athletics, judo, and football.
The educational institution was founded in 1971 based on a children's home and was originally named the Republican Sports Boarding School named after N. Krupskaya. In 2000, the college was renamed in honor of the outstanding athlete Sheraly Sydykov.
