Who had their working hours reduced in Kyrgyzstan
The Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan has approved a new list of categories of workers for whom a reduced working time has been established. This resolution, number 859, was signed on December 31, 2025.
This document was adopted in accordance with Articles 51 and 194 of the Labor Code of Kyrgyzstan, as well as Articles 13 and 17 of the Law "On the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic".
The resolution presents an updated list of workers with special working conditions, as well as their working norm — 5 or 6 hours a day, depending on the level of professional risk and the specifics of the work.
The reduced working time is introduced for the following categories:- medical workers who come into contact with infectious, tuberculosis, and psychiatric patients;
- employees of rehabilitation centers, physiotherapy offices, and pathology services;
- staff of ambulance stations, laboratories, and blood centers;
- pharmacy workers, pharmaceutical production, and laboratories engaged in quality control of medications;
- experts from the forensic medical service;
- specialists working with radioactive substances and ionizing radiation;
- employees of social institutions, boarding houses, and specialized children's institutions;
- workers in laboratory diagnostic services.
This resolution cancels:
- the Government Resolution of the Kyrgyz Republic dated February 8, 2008, No. 39;
- the Government Resolution of the Kyrgyz Republic dated March 5, 2010, No. 131, which amended the 2008 document.
