The elimination of anthrax outbreaks is coming to an end in Kyrgyzstan

In Kyrgyzstan, work is nearing completion on the elimination of anthrax outbreaks. This was reported by the Director of the Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Service, Adilet Sotaldiev, at a meeting of the parliamentary committee dealing with agricultural policy, water resources, subsoil use, ecology, and environmental protection.

According to Sotaldiev, an inventory was conducted this year, resulting in the identification of 567 anthrax outbreaks across the country.

He also noted that local authorities have already eliminated 560 sites, which accounts for almost 95% of the total number of registered outbreaks. Thus, the work to eliminate the threat is approaching completion.
