KaniTTS is an open-source solution for speech synthesis that provides natural-sounding generation in real time. The developers claim that this technology works three times faster and is ten times cheaper than existing TTS services, such as ElevenLabs, OpenAI, and Google.
The model is available under the Apache 2.0 license and is completely free. It can generate 15 seconds of speech in just one second on an NVIDIA RTX 5080 graphics card, allowing it to be used without costs for cloud services. Since its launch, KaniTTS has been downloaded over 15,000 times on the Hugging Face platform. The basic version supports eight languages, including Kyrgyz, as well as English, German, Korean, Arabic, Chinese, Spanish, and Japanese.
Kyrgyzstan's participation in CES 2026 was organized with the assistance of the High Technology Park of the Kyrgyz Republic. The HTP unites over 500 residents and offers companies special tax incentives, legal assistance, and access to international markets, promoting Kyrgyzstan as an export-oriented technology country.
