Kyrgyzstan has made it onto the prestigious list of the best tourist destinations in the world for 2026, compiled by The New York Times. This information was provided by the Department of Tourism of the Kyrgyz Republic.
In the annual ranking, which includes 52 inspiring places from around the globe — from major cities and cultural centers to natural wonders and unique landscapes — the Tian Shan mountains in Kyrgyzstan have secured an outstanding position.
“This highlights the high international tourist potential of our country and the growing interest in its natural and cultural riches. The Tian Shan is a symbol of Kyrgyzstan and one of the most impressive natural complexes in Central Asia, recognized by The New York Times as a place worth visiting in 2026,” the publication noted.
The ranking from The New York Times covers a wide range of destinations, including thematic journeys through "Revolutionary America" in connection with the 250th anniversary of the USA, as well as the dynamic cities of Warsaw and Bangkok and natural wonders in Asia, Africa, and other regions.
