A new traffic light with laser illumination has been installed in Bishkek

At the intersection of Kurmanjan Datka and Frunze streets in Bishkek, a new traffic light has been installed, equipped with laser backlighting for the pedestrian crossing. This was reported by the city administration.

According to information from the administration, this traffic light was developed and manufactured by the municipal enterprise "City Road Transport Infrastructure".

“The laser backlighting significantly improves the visibility of pedestrians for drivers in poor weather conditions—such as fog and rain—which in turn helps reduce the number of accidents and increase road safety. The implementation of this project demonstrates the technical capabilities of the municipal enterprise and is aimed at introducing modern technologies into the urban road infrastructure, as well as reducing the number of traffic accidents,” the message states.
