According to the latest data, the main factors contributing to mortality in Kyrgyzstan are three groups of diseases: cardiovascular, oncological, and injuries. As reported by Talant Eraliyev, the director of the National Center for Cardiology and Therapy, cardiovascular diseases account for 52.3% of the total number of deaths.

Moreover, according to Eraliyev, there is a problem with the shortage of medical personnel, especially in rural areas. “However, the issue of personnel largely depends on the level of wages. Starting from April 1, a doubling of salaries for medical workers is planned, which, in my opinion, will have a positive impact on the healthcare system as a whole,” he added.
