According to the latest data, the main factors contributing to mortality in Kyrgyzstan are three groups of diseases: cardiovascular, oncological, and injuries. As reported by Talant Eraliyev, the director of the National Center for Cardiology and Therapy, cardiovascular diseases account for 52.3% of the total number of deaths.

He also noted that cardiology in the country is developing faster compared to other areas of medicine. One of the main tasks is the standardization of treatment methods. Eraliyev emphasized that the work of specialists should be based on unified clinical protocols.

Moreover, according to Eraliyev, there is a problem with the shortage of medical personnel, especially in rural areas. “However, the issue of personnel largely depends on the level of wages. Starting from April 1, a doubling of salaries for medical workers is planned, which, in my opinion, will have a positive impact on the healthcare system as a whole,” he added.
