Veterinary Control Strengthened in the Kadamjay District
According to him, the recorded disease has been classified as infectious. Currently, the arrival of specialized vaccines is expected, which will be used for the mass immunization of livestock.
Zholdoshov noted that all livestock products, such as meat and milk, that enter local markets are subject to mandatory inspection. “As of today, the situation in the district is, fortunately, stable. Meat and dairy products undergo thorough laboratory testing and are under strict veterinary control. No cases of dangerous infection through food products have been registered,” he assured.
According to local authorities, the control over product safety also includes monitoring its pricing. To prevent unjustified price increases, the Antimonopoly Regulation Service has set fixed prices for basic types of meat:
- beef — 670 soms per 1 kg;
- lamb — 700 soms per 1 kg.
These prices are consistently maintained across all trading points in the district. To increase the availability of food products, agricultural fairs are regularly held, which helps to reduce the market price of meat and allows producers to connect directly with consumers, without intermediaries.
