This information was announced during the visit of the Prime Minister to the medical institution.
Adylbek Kasymaliev, head of the Cabinet of Ministers, conducted an inspection of the construction of new buildings in several medical institutions located in Bishkek and the Chui region. The press service of the Cabinet reported this.
The first stop of the inspection was the Scientific Center for Human Reproduction, where Kasymaliev got acquainted with the project of a new modern building.
He emphasized the importance of protecting the reproductive health of the population as a strategic priority. The ministers were instructed to promptly complete the design and estimate documentation and identify sources of funding for the implementation of this project.
The Prime Minister also visited the Bishkek City Children's Clinical Emergency Hospital. During the visit, he expressed dissatisfaction with the delay in the construction of the new emergency building, which was supposed to significantly improve the current working conditions of the hospital.
“Delays in healthcare, especially in children's institutions, are unacceptable. This concerns the safety and health of our children. The construction must be fully completed by June of this year. I will come myself to check the progress. If the deadlines are not met, strict measures will be taken,” he stated.
During the visit to Bishkek City Multidisciplinary Clinical Hospital No. 2, a number of systemic shortcomings were identified.
Despite the fact that some blocks were actually completed back in 2022, they cannot fully operate due to the lack of necessary medical equipment.
Kasymaliev instructed the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Finance to promptly develop proposals for equipping the hospital with the necessary equipment and to complete all work by April of this year.
At the end of his visit, he headed to the Chui Regional United Hospital named after Ernst Akramov (ChUOH).
According to information from the Cabinet, this institution is one of the most overloaded in the region: it treats up to 18,000 patients annually, performs about 6,000 surgeries, and handles up to 6,000 births.
Kasymaliev instructed the Ministry of Health and relevant agencies to consider the possibility of constructing a new building on the territory of ChUOH to consolidate all hospital services into a modern medical cluster.
