During a recent working trip, the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, Adylbek Kasymaliev, visited several medical institutions in Bishkek and the Chui region. This was reported by the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic.

One of the key tasks of the visit was to monitor the progress of construction of new buildings and address issues related to the material and technical support of medical institutions.
The first site visited by Kasymaliev was the Kyrgyz Scientific Center for Human Reproduction. Here, he was presented with a project for a new modern building. The head of the Cabinet noted that the protection of the reproductive health of the population is a strategic priority. He instructed the relevant ministries to expedite the completion of project documentation and identify financial sources for the start of project implementation.
Attention was also focused on the Bishkek City Children's Clinical Emergency Hospital. During the inspection, Kasymaliev expressed dissatisfaction with the delay in the construction of the new emergency building, which was supposed to significantly relieve the current capacity of the hospital.
“Delays in the healthcare sector, especially regarding children's institutions, are unacceptable. This is a matter of safety and health for our children. The construction must be completed by June of this year. I will personally check compliance. If deadlines are not met, strict measures will be taken,” he stated.
Control over the completion of this project was assigned to the Deputy Head of the President's Administration, Azamat Kadyraliev, who is to monitor the pace and quality of work on a daily basis.
During the visit to Bishkek City Multidisciplinary Clinical Hospital No. 2, several systemic problems were identified. Despite the fact that some blocks were almost completed back in 2022, they cannot fully function due to the lack of necessary medical equipment. The problems were exacerbated during the transfer of institutions from the city administration to the Ministry of Health.
Kasymaliev instructed the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Finance to immediately prepare proposals for equipping the hospital with the necessary equipment and to complete all work by April of this year. The head of the Cabinet emphasized that he would check the implementation of this instruction within the specified timeframe.
At the end of his visit, Kasymaliev visited the Chui Regional Unified Hospital named after E. Akramov. This institution is one of the busiest in the region, receiving about 18,000 patients a year, performing about 6,000 operations, and handling up to 6,000 births.
He instructed the Ministry of Health and relevant agencies to explore the possibility of constructing a new building on the territory of the Chui Regional Unified Hospital to consolidate all medical services into a modern cluster.
Following the visit, instructions were given to the relevant agencies and the Bishkek city administration for the prompt resolution of identified problems and coordination of efforts to modernize the healthcare system.
