The Ministry of Health closed 263 unlicensed clinics across the country

In 2025, the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic conducted a comprehensive inspection of the private healthcare sector across the country. The head of the licensing department of the ministry, Aman Osmonov, reported this on the air of the program "Elden Sobol" of the "Kabar" agency.

According to him, as part of the fight against illegal entrepreneurial activities, the ministry instructed its coordinators in the regions.

A total of 561 medical institutions were inspected, including private clinics, rehabilitation centers, dental offices, and folk healer offices. As a result of the inspections, 263 of them were closed, as none of these clinics had a license to carry out medical activities.

"More than half of the inspected institutions ceased their activities, and over 21 million soms were collected in fines for the budget," added Aman Osmonov.
