A significant project is being implemented in Bishkek to create a reference laboratory based at the National Hospital. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Recently, Health Minister Damirbek Osmonov visited the National Hospital and familiarized himself with its activities.

According to information provided by the hospital's chief physician, Bakyt Tologonov, renovations are currently underway on the building that will house the laboratory. The work is expected to be completed by the end of April. After that, the installation of necessary equipment, staff training, and the full operation of the laboratory will begin.

This project is being implemented with the support of the Asian Development Bank and aims to create a centralized laboratory base for the city's hospitals. This will enable the National Hospital to conduct laboratory research centrally, significantly improving the quality of diagnostics and introducing unified standards in research.

Work on the project has been ongoing for a year.
