A meeting was held at the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic between Deputy Minister Temirbek Erkinov and the Ambassador of the Swiss Confederation, Siroko Messerli.
According to the Ministry of Health, the meeting discussed the achievements and results of projects implemented with the support of Switzerland in the healthcare sector of Kyrgyzstan, as well as prospects for future cooperation.
The main focus was on the outcomes of joint activities in several areas:
- improving financial protection for citizens in the field of healthcare;
- increasing public awareness about health and creating local health committee associations;
- enhancing the qualifications of medical professionals;
- strengthening primary healthcare, including the prevention and management of non-communicable diseases;
- optimizing management within the healthcare system.
According to the department, the implemented projects contribute to improving the accessibility and quality of medical services, developing preventive measures, and strengthening the institutional capacity of the healthcare system.
Discussing future cooperation, the parties expressed their interest in continuing the partnership and expanding joint efforts in key areas of healthcare development.
