A conference dedicated to International Children's Day, for children with cancer, was held in Bishkek








On February 18 in Bishkek, the "Help the Children – SKD" foundation participated in a national conference discussing the development of the oncology care system for children in Kyrgyzstan.

Among the attendees were the Deputy Minister of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic Bakytbek Kadyraliev, World Health Organization representative Alina Altymysheva, Director of the National Center for Oncology and Medical Diagnostics Shaiyrbek Sulaymanov, the country's chief pediatric oncologist, head of the pediatric oncology and oncohematology department of the National Center for Oncology and Medical Diagnostics and chairman of the public organization "Children's Oncologists and Oncohematologists" Sultan Stambekov, as well as international partners and representatives of charitable foundations.

This conference was organized in honor of the International Day of Children with Cancer, aiming to raise public awareness. During the event, the achievements of pediatric oncohematologists over recent years were presented, long-term goals were discussed, and useful information about childhood cancer was provided.

The conference served as an important platform for uniting the efforts of government structures, the medical community, charitable organizations, and the business sector aimed at improving the accessibility and quality of specialized care for children with oncological diseases.

The "Help the Children – SKD" foundation contributed by providing informational materials in the form of brochures and posters with recommendations for parents and doctors regarding oncological vigilance in two languages.
