On February 10, a meeting took place in Moscow between the Minister of Health of Kyrgyzstan, Kanbek Dosmambetov, and the Minister of Health of Russia, Mikhail Murashko. This information was provided by the press service of the Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan.

The Kyrgyz delegation expressed gratitude to their Russian colleagues for their support in organizing the negotiations. The ministry noted that cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Russia is strategically important and based on many years of trust and stable dialogue.

During the meeting, issues related to medical assistance and the interests of citizens of both countries were discussed.

Given Russia's openness regarding medical assistance, the possibility of continuing quotas for the treatment of Kyrgyz citizens in Russian medical institutions was considered, including the provision of high-tech medical care.

Questions of professional development and strengthening ties between medical professionals were also discussed. The parties explored the prospects for expanding educational opportunities for young doctors from Kyrgyzstan, including training in residency programs at Russian educational and clinical institutions in in-demand specialties such as neurosurgery, oncology, cardiac surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, anesthesiology and resuscitation, neonatology, pediatrics, genetics, and laboratory diagnostics.

Special attention was given to organizing internships and advanced training programs for doctors from Kyrgyzstan at leading medical and scientific centers in Russia. The Kyrgyz side reported that the relevant departments of the ministry are working on proposals for internship directions within the framework of the corresponding assignments.

In the context of high technologies in medicine, the Kyrgyz side expressed interest in joint projects, including the establishment of a nuclear medicine center in Kyrgyzstan, which will be equipped with its own cyclotron-radiopharmaceutical production. It was mentioned that some elements of this project are already being implemented at the National Center for Oncology and Hematology with the participation of JSC "Rosatom".

Ideas for creating the center have been included in the country's state development plans. A phased preparation of the regulatory framework is planned, along with the conclusion of necessary agreements and the start of design work in 2026, with completion expected by 2030. The parties also discussed possible formats for cooperation, including expert and technological support, as well as issues related to access to equipment, technologies, and methodological solutions that take mutual interests into account.

Additionally, issues of experience exchange between medical professionals of the two countries were discussed, including conducting joint surgical operations and other high-tech interventions, as well as expanding scientific and expert cooperation.

The Kyrgyz side expressed interest in studying and gradually implementing Russia's advanced practical and managerial experience in healthcare, taking into account national characteristics, including the reform of the management system of medical institutions and improving the efficiency of medical services provided.
