Doctor Andrey Martyushev-Poklad, a leading specialist at the NTI "Healthnet" and the "Health of the Healthy" union, shared recommendations for losing weight by summer in an interview with RIA Novosti. He emphasizes that to achieve the desired result, it is important to follow a specific sequence of actions.
The first step is to eliminate sources of chronic stress. According to the expert, such factors include both lack of sleep and its poor quality. Alcohol, which many use as a way to cope with stress, should also be excluded.
The next step is to optimize the diet. Martyushev-Poklad stresses that this is not about strict calorie restriction, but about including whole animal products, vegetables, and minimizing carbohydrates in the diet. In his opinion, this will create a foundation for effective weight loss.
It is important to note that physical activity also plays a role, although, according to the doctor, it accounts for only 20% of the weight correction process, while 80% depends on nutrition. This means that one should not rely solely on physical exercises for weight loss.
However, after establishing proper nutrition, simple physical activities can be added to daily practice. Martyushev-Poklad recommends rhythmic low-intensity exercises, such as walking, which help regulate the nervous system, as well as strength training to maintain activity and flexibility exercises for joint mobility.
