She shared her impressions after the off-site meeting of the committee held within the walls of the institute.
“During the inspection of the institute's building, I found that the elevators are in an emergency state, the wards are cold, and the windows and doors require serious repairs. Despite this, about 15,000 people undergo rehabilitation here every year. The institute has unique capabilities and highly qualified personnel, so it is extremely important that the conditions for work and treatment are at an appropriate level,” Junushalieva noted.
She believes that this year it is possible to start repair work without significant capital investments, which will help improve the situation for both patients and staff.
The deputy also urged the Minister of Health to visit the institute to personally assess the situation.
