Among those present at the opening ceremony were the plenipotentiary Amandan Kenjebayev, the first deputy minister of health Aibek Matkerimov, as well as the leaders of the city of Osh, medical workers, and representatives of various institutions.
As noted by A. Kenjebayev, in addition to improving the material and technical base, work is also being done to create comfortable conditions for medical staff, enhance their qualifications, and increase salaries by up to 100%.
During the major renovation, departments such as "Mother and Child," the operating room, intensive care units for adults and children, the pathology department for pregnant women, as well as centralized sterilization, a clinical diagnostic laboratory, and an outpatient diagnostic department were completely updated. A centralized oxygen station costing 3,855,700 soms has been put into operation.
Funding for the new maternity ward was provided from the state budget, and the total cost of the tender for the construction of the two-story building amounted to 87,900,000 soms. The medical institution is equipped with modern equipment and all necessary conditions have been created to provide quality medical care to the population.
Kenjebayev also familiarized himself with the infrastructure and technical equipment of the renovated ward.
It is worth noting that the regional maternity hospital in Osh was opened on April 11, 1968, originally designed for 250 beds. This was the first major renovation in its entire history.
