Today, the opening of the maternity ward of the Osh Interregional Combined Clinical Hospital took place after the completion of its major renovation. This was reported by the regional representative office.
Among those present at the ceremonial event were Amanakan Kenjebaev, the head of the Osh region, First Deputy Minister of Health Aibek Matkerimov, as well as the vice-mayor of the city of Osh, medical workers, and representatives of the relevant departments.
In his speech, Amanakan Kenjebaev congratulated the staff of the medical institution on the opening of the updated ward and emphasized the importance of state support in the healthcare sector. He noted that, in addition to improving the material and technical base, work is also being done to create comfortable conditions for medical personnel, enhance their qualifications, and increase their salaries by 100%.
During the major renovation, the following departments were completely updated:
- Mother and Child Department;
- Operating Block;
- Intensive Care Units for Adults and Children;
- Pregnancy Pathology Department;
- Centralized Sterilization Department;
- Clinical Diagnostic Laboratory and Outpatient Diagnostic Department.
It is worth noting that the project was financed from the state budget. The total cost of the tender for the renovation of the two-story building amounted to 87 million 900 thousand soms. The educational institution is equipped with modern technologies, ensuring high-quality medical services for the population.
Note:
The Osh Regional Maternity Hospital opened its doors on April 11, 1968, and was designed for 250 beds. This is the first major renovation since its opening.
