In Kyrgyzstan, a new rehabilitation center for drug addicts may be opened based on the existing center for post-stroke patients in the village of Dachnoye, as reported by the Ministry of Health.

This initiative was discussed between the Minister of Health Kanaybek Dosmambetov and narcologist, Professor Zhenishbek Nazaraliev.

The Minister pointed out the serious threat to national security posed by synthetic drugs, especially among the youth. In response, the Ministry of Health plans to intensify preventive and rehabilitation measures in collaboration with the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Education, including awareness campaigns in educational institutions.

It is planned that drug addicts will undergo rehabilitation in the new center, while post-stroke patients will be transferred for recovery to the Research Institute of Resortology and Rehabilitation, located in the village of Vorontsovka.

The Minister also emphasized the importance of the legal operation of rehabilitation centers and the need to create an open state assistance system. In this regard, an anti-drug program is being developed for the next five years.

Zhenishbek Nazaraliev expressed his readiness to support the Ministry of Health by providing methodological assistance and involving specialists with practical experience.
