According to information from the Ministry's press center, there has been a recent increase in the spread of synthetic drugs among young people, which poses a serious threat to national security.
In response to this situation, the Ministry of Health plans to strengthen preventive and rehabilitation measures, including cooperation with the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Education, as well as organizing informational events for school and university students.
Minister Dosmambetov confirmed that a state rehabilitation center for drug addicts is planned to be established based on the existing center specializing in the rehabilitation of post-stroke patients in the village of Dachnoe in the Alamudun district. The new facility will have 80 beds, while post-stroke patients will receive assistance at the Kyrgyz Scientific Research Institute of Resortology and Rehabilitation in Tash-Dobo based on medical indications.
He also noted the need to close illegal rehabilitation centers and create a transparent state assistance system. In light of the identified risks, an anti-drug program is being developed for the next five years.
Professor Nazaraliev expressed his readiness to provide methodological support to the Ministry of Health in the operation of the rehabilitation center and to attract specialists with experience in rehabilitation and restorative treatment.
Earlier, employees of the State National Security Committee suspended the activities of the illegal rehabilitation center "Path to Life" in Bishkek, which posed as a clinic for treating addictions but had actually become a place of abuse towards patients.
