The Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan has announced its intention to develop a unified system of state laboratories.

On January 23, Health Minister Kanibek Dosmambetov visited one of the leading private laboratories to familiarize himself with the organization of diagnostics, logistical processes, quality control mechanisms, and digital innovations.

According to him, the current system of state laboratories does not meet modern requirements, making it difficult for the population to access timely and accurate research. This is especially relevant in cases where early diagnosis of oncological diseases and other ailments requiring prompt detection is necessary.

The minister noted that one of the serious problems in healthcare remains the late diagnosis of complex diseases, such as malignant tumors. Often, patients seek help only at stage 3-4 of the disease. In his opinion, this is related to the lack of an effective laboratory diagnostic system. "An accurate diagnosis is already half the success in treatment. For timely and reliable detection of diseases, the country needs a powerful laboratory base," he emphasized.
