More than 36,000 residents of the Jalal-Abad region have been vaccinated against hepatitis B
According to him, vaccination is being carried out using the "Bevac" preparation. "This year, a large-scale vaccination campaign has been launched in the country aimed at preventing the spread of hepatitis B. The primary focus is on citizens aged 25 to 65, with priority given to high-risk groups," the coordinator noted.
Such groups include medical workers, as well as individuals who have had contact with hepatitis B patients. This category also includes beauty salon employees (for example, hairdressers, manicurists, and tattoo artists), people living with HIV/AIDS, citizens with chronic diseases and disabilities, inmates in correctional facilities, and military personnel.
According to the regional coordinator, 447,939 people in the Jalal-Abad region are eligible for vaccination, of which 36,928 residents have been vaccinated so far. "There are about 30,000 doses of the vaccine available in medical institutions in the region, and another 10,000 have been delivered to the warehouse of the regional Center for Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance. Medical staff continue to conduct outreach and vaccination," Makhmadjunus uulu added.
Currently, 5,721 individuals suffering from hepatitis B, C, and delta forms are under medical supervision.
