Government: All non-servicemen and 'alternatives' in Kyrgyzstan are required to pay 50,000 soms and undergo 30 days of training

First category men will pay 70,000 soms


The Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan has made a decision stating that all men aged 22 to 40 who have not served in the military or have chosen an alternative path are required to pay 50,000 soms and undergo 30 days of training.

For reservists with higher education under 30 years old, in the first category, the contribution amount will be 70,000 soms, and they will also need to undergo similar training.

Citizens called to alternative service due to family circumstances must pay 18,000 soms. Those with health limitations or who refuse to serve for religious reasons will need to pay 25,000 soms. Individuals wishing to perform socially useful work will also have to pay 25,000 soms and complete a certain volume of work.

Payments will be made in stages: at least one-sixth of the total amount must be paid quarterly. The term of alternative service will begin from the moment of conscription.
