Vladimir Putin has imposed strict restrictions on the export of cash to EAEU countries

Vladimir Putin, the President of Russia, has signed a new decree that significantly changes the rules for exporting money and precious metals from the country to the states of the Eurasian Economic Union, including Kyrgyzstan. These measures have been introduced to protect national interests and ensure economic security. Starting from April 1 of this year, the limit for individuals on the export of cash will be set at 100 thousand dollars. For legal entities and individual entrepreneurs, the restrictions will apply regardless of the amount.

However, there are exceptions for travelers crossing the border through international airports. In such cases, it is necessary to provide a bank statement confirming the withdrawal of funds from the account. Additionally, starting from May 1, there will be a ban on the export of gold bars weighing more than 100 grams to Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan. This restriction will affect both ordinary citizens and the business community.

Special document processing conditions will apply at the largest airports in Russia, such as Vnukovo, Domodedovo, and Sheremetyevo, as well as at the Knevichi airport in Vladivostok. Exporting gold through these points will require special permission from government authorities. Moreover, individuals will need such a document even for exporting gold bars to countries outside the EAEU.

Experts associate the introduction of these measures with the Kremlin's intention to prevent uncontrolled capital flight and stabilize the precious metals market in the country. For Kyrgyz citizens working in Russia or engaged in cross-border activities, the new rules require more careful financial planning and the availability of necessary documents from banks.
