The Center for Information Security under the State Committee for National Security has opened in the building of the old State Registration on Aitmatov Avenue.

Today, March 23, the Chairman of the State National Security Committee (GKNB) Jumgalbek Shabdanbekov officially opened the new Information Security Center. According to the agency's press service, this institution will play a key role in the development of cybersecurity and the protection of Kyrgyzstan's digital infrastructure.

The establishment of the center was characterized by the GKNB as an important step towards improving the national cybersecurity system.

The main functions of the new center include:

the creation and certification of software and hardware solutions for the public sector;
monitoring and developing solutions for the protection of both public and private data;
coordinating the efforts of various agencies and training qualified IT specialists in the field of security.

The center is located in a restored building on Ch. Aitmatov Avenue, where the State Registration Service was previously located. The GKNB noted that the new institution is equipped with modern server and analytical equipment, which will ensure the continuous operation of specialists and allow for effective counteraction to cyberattacks, as well as maintain the stability of critically important digital services in the country.
