The building of the Information Security Center was opened in Bishkek
Today, March 23, 2026, a ceremonial opening of the new administrative building of the State Institution "Center for Information Security" took place. This was reported by the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic (SCNS).
Lieutenant General J. Shabdanbekov, Chairman of the SCNS of the Kyrgyz Republic, participated in the opening.
The establishment of this center is aimed at addressing current global issues and represents an important step towards strengthening the country's cybersecurity system. This institution will become a key link in protecting digital sovereignty and ensuring sustainable economic development based on digital technologies.
The center's tasks include developing its own software and hardware solutions for the public sector, certifying and supporting them, as well as creating modern technological tools for data protection for both state and private organizations. It will also coordinate the actions of various agencies and prepare qualified specialists in the field of IT security.
“The building is designed taking into account the specifics of the work of a high-tech unit, equipped with modern server and analytical equipment, which ensures reliable operation for specialists. The conditions created in the new center will allow for effective counteraction to cyberattacks and maintain the stability of critically important digital services in the republic,” the press release notes.
The event was also attended by veterans and the leadership of the SCNS of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as representatives of relevant state institutions.
